Nephrology

Introduction: Nephrology department at Nash Technology Hospital is taking care of patients with all kinds of Kidney disease since 1990. Treatment is very much affordable with maintaining high standards of care.

Miles Stones : We have done around 12,000 dialysis sessions in year 2013.

Treatment : We are providing treatment on outdoor (OPD) and indoor (IPD) basis for kidney disorders with diabetes and hypertension, for difficult to control blood pressure, kidney diseases with protein and blood in urine, kidney diseases with high uric acid levels, and other kidney disorders like ADPKD, recurrent kidney stone disease etc, acute kidney failure and chronic kidney failure.

Procedures :

  1. Vascular access: All kind of vascular access procedures are being done in our department - Irregular/subclavian vein catheterization, permcath, AV fistula, AV graft, Doppler study and fistulogram for poorly functioning fistulas.
  2. CAPD catheterization.
  3. Acute peritoneal catherization.
  4. Plasma exchange - Therapeutic plasma exchange for various kidney diseases specially for rapidly progressing renal failure.
  5. Kidney Biopsy : Real time USG guided kidney biopsy is being performed with excellent outcome.

Facilities : Diagnostic: All sort of diagnostics are available in Nash Technology Hospital related to Kidney disorders.

Therapies : Hemodialysis: Dept. has got large hemodialysis unit with 14 stations with best and latest hemodialysis machines. Centre is following international (AAMI) and national (ISN) guidelines to maintain high standards of care. Hospital is providing hemodialysis round the _____ and for all emergencies.

Sustained low efficiency dialysis (SLED) : usually being done in sick patients admitted in ICU. Two dialysis stations are dedicated for ICU patients.

Acute peritoneal dialysis: Short-term peritoneal dialysis usually being performed in sick admitted patients.

Continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) - CAPD in home based long term dialysis. This therapy is a good alternative to hemodialysis and cost effective as well.

Clinical Team : Nephrology department is having full time as well as visiting nephrologists on board. A team of Senior Residents, Junior Residents and 24 dialysis technician/nurses are working under supervision of Senior Consultant Nephrologist.

Dr. Anil Prasad Bhatt (Senior Consultant) - Dr. Anil Prasad Bhatt is heading the department since August 2012. He is a graduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) in Medicine from GSVM Medical College Kanpur. He did his Nephrology training (DM Nephrology) from prestigious AIIMS, New Delhi. He is working in the field of Nephrology since 2005.

Dr. Bheema Raj Gupta (Attending Consultant) - Dr. Bheema Raj Gupta joined the department in April 2015. He did his M.B.B.S from S.M.S Medical College, Jaipur and his M.D (General Medicine) from S.S.Medical College, Rewa. He is working in the field of nephrology since 2012 and has obtained D.N.B (Nephrology) from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi.

Imtiyaz Mir(Dialysis Medical Officer) - Imtiyaz Mir joined Nash Technology Hospital in May 2014. He has obtained M.D (Physician) from Medical council India in 2010.

Future Plans : We are looking forward to expand our dialysis unit and to establish an affordable kidney transplant programme in near future.
